Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in radiologic technology.
• 3-5 years as a clinical imaging professional.
• Maryland Radiographer license.
• Certification in modality supervision.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Leadership experience in modality supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
• Develop and maintain modality policies, procedures, quality control, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor equipment, supplies, inventory, and operational needs.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet patient and department needs.
• Partner with leadership on budgets, capital needs, staff performance, education, and professional development.
• Train, orient, coach, and mentor staff; provide performance feedback and partner with HR on performance management as needed.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve clinical and operational issues and support a positive patient experience.
• Ensure accurate patient care documentation and assist with troubleshooting imaging, reporting, and billing issues.

Job Description Overview

Under limited supervision, provides technical and operational leadership for designated imaging modalities. Oversees staff performance, workflows, equipment, staffing, scheduling, quality, and regulatory compliance while working directly in the modality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, or Certificate, in the radiologic technology field.
• 3-5 years as a clinical imaging professional.
• Licensures/Certifications: Certification in one of the following: RAD, CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, PET CT, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology.
• Licensed Radiographer - State of Maryland as applicable.
• Experience 3-5 years' experience in modality of supervision.
• 1 year leadership experience as a lead in the modality.
• Licensures/Certifications: Certification in modality of supervision.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Preferred Education

• Bachelor degree in health sciences or a related field.
