Pay range: $49.35–$74.05 per hour

Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System seeks a technically skilled imaging leader to provide operational and clinical leadership for designated imaging modalities. You will oversee staff performance, workflows, equipment, staffing, scheduling, quality, and regulatory compliance while working directly in the modality.

Responsibilities include training, policy development, budgeting support, and cross-department collaboration to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Associate degree or Certificate in radiologic technology.
3-5 years as a clinical imaging professional.
Licensed Radiographer in Maryland as applicable.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations and clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
Develop and maintain modality policies, procedures, quality control, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance.
Monitor equipment, supplies, inventory, and operational needs.
Coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet patient and department needs.
Partner with leadership on budgets, capital needs, staff performance, education, and professional development.
Train, orient, coach, and mentor staff; provide performance feedback and partner with HR on performance management as needed.
Collaborate across departments to resolve clinical and operational issues and support a positive patient experience.
Ensure accurate patient care documentation and assist with troubleshooting imaging, reporting, and billing issues.

Experience

Licensures/Certifications

Certification in one of the following: RAD, CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, PET CT, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology
Licensed Radiographer - State of Maryland as applicable
