Job summary

Rodeo Cannabis Co. | Rocky Hill, CT is seeking a part-time Team Leader / Shift Supervisor to guide our Rocky Hill retail team.

You will run shifts, support store management, open and close the store, and ensure every customer interaction and transaction meets our standards and Connecticut DCP regulations. Ideal candidates bring supervisory experience, weekend availability, strong communication, reliable cash handling, and comfort with BioTrack and POS systems.

Qualifications

• Prior management or supervisory experience (retail, hospitality, food service, or similar).
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, with a flexible schedule, including opening and closing shifts.
• Commitment to following all DCP regulations and company policies without exception.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to keep a team focused during busy periods.
• Comfort with POS systems, cash handling, and basic reporting.
• Dependability, integrity, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts on the sales floor, directing and supporting budtenders to deliver a knowledgeable, welcoming customer experience
• Serve as key holder: open and close the store, following all security, cash handling, and compliance procedures
• Ensure full compliance with DCP regulations, including ID verification, purchase limits, product handling, and seed-to-sale tracking in BioTrack
• Oversee cash drawers, deposits, and end-of-day reconciliation
• Support inventory receiving, counts, and discrepancy resolution
• Coach team members on product knowledge, sales goals, and store procedures
• Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant sales floor and back-of-house
• Communicate shift performance, staffing needs, and any incidents to store management

The Role

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Connecticut DCP cannabis employee registration, including passing a background check
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to [50] lbs

Preferred

• Cannabis industry or dispensary experience
• Familiarity with BioTrack or other seed-to-sale systems
• Knowledge of cannabis products, cannabinoids, and consumption methods

Position Details

• Part-time, approximately 32 hours per week
