Job summary

Philip Morris International is seeking a Quality Control Team Lead in Colorado to guide a team of engineers and laboratory analysts in a high‑stakes QC environment. You will prioritize lab activities, drive safety, and lead investigations to uphold ISO and regulatory standards while supporting production and product release decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in QC laboratory, analytical testing environment, or regulated manufacturing setting.
• Proven leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Engineers and Laboratory Analysts.
• Prioritize laboratory activities and resources to support production goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Provide support for off-hours and weekend operations as needed.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Oversee daily QC laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Lead investigations involving deviations, out-of-specification results, and quality events using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support manufacturing decisions, product release activities, risk assessments, and audit readiness.
• Monitor quality metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Ensure testing, investigations, and quality support activities are completed on time to meet production requirements.
• Optimize laboratory capacity, workflow efficiency, turnaround times, and service levels.
• Support cost-reduction efforts by minimizing waste, rework, repeat testing, and other non-value-added activities.
