Meijer Inc. is seeking a Meat Team Leader to oversee day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planogram execution, and pricing in the Meat and Seafood departments.

You will lead Meat team members, interview for staffing, train high-performing teams, and manage schedules to meet service and cost goals. The role emphasizes strong customer service, safety, and inventory control, with opportunities for development within a multi-state retailer.

Formación

• Experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Strong scheduling and expense control capabilities.
• Knowledge of store safety and sanitation procedures.

• Conduct interviews to ensure proper staffing.
• Train Meat team members to build a high-performance team and reduce turnover.
• Create Meat schedules to balance service levels and costs.
• Ensure Real Time Apply completion and accuracy.
• Maintain signing and pricing accuracy.
• Uphold sanitation and safety procedures.
• Control inventory shrinkage through BOH accuracy and rotation guidelines.
• Complete MITS tasks timely and adapt to business needs.

Responsible for the execution of all aspects of day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planogram, and pricing of the Meat and Seafood departments. The Meat Team Leader is directly responsible for Meat team members.

What You'll be Doing:

• Ensures a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for achieving financial performance goals in both Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conducts interviews to ensure proper staffing levels are achieved.
• Trains Meat team members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Writes and manages Meat schedules in order to achieve first class service levels while achieving expense control objectives.
• Ensures Real Time Apply is completed accurately and according to Meijer timelines.
• Ensures both signing execution and pricing accuracy are maintained.
• Accountable for Meijer sanitation and safety procedures.
• Controls and manages inventory shrinkage through BOH accuracy, use of production planners, and adherence to rotation guidelines.
• Reacted to and completes MITS tasks in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
