John Deere in East Moline, IL is seeking a Team Leader to oversee Harvester Works operations. You will manage performance, lead safety and Lean initiatives, and ensure staff has training and tools to excel.

This onsite role emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and proactive leadership within a union environment. The ideal candidate has prior production leadership experience, strong communication, and the ability to drive improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.

• Ability to conduct crucial conversations and enforce company policies, practices and work rules.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor individual and department performance on safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency and take corrective action including discipline as needed.
• Lead employee engagement activities while establishing a positive employee environment through communications, feedback, and overall guidance.
• Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction, and tooling to successfully execute their jobs.
• Lead safety through regular safety communications, driving engagement in CI Safety and Ergonomic Risk Assessment process and prompt near miss reporting with strong corrective actions.
• Monitor Control Plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems, and supervise production activities to meet or exceed quality requirements.
• Drive department-level support of factory goals regarding 5S, Continuous Improvement, manpower planning, and operating budgets.
