Job summary

A&W Restaurants, Inc. is seeking a Team Leader for our Lexington, KY location. The role supports the Restaurant General Manager in daily operations and directs Team Members to deliver engaging service of quality food and beverages in a clean, comfortable environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in the food service industry.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Effective communication with team members and guests.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships.
• Lead and motivate a team, even during challenging times.

Responsibilities

• Directs Team Members to maintain speed of service and cleanliness.
• Organizes opening, shift changes and closing duties.
• Coaches Team Members to improve performance and achieve operational excellence.
• Follows policies including cash handling, safety and security.
• Assists in orientation and training of new Team Members and uses training resources.
• Serves as a role model by developing positive relationships with Team Members and guest service.
• Communicates effectively between RGM and Team Members.
• Assists RGM in inventory, ordering, deposits, HAACP records, and labor/financial records.
• Sets standard for attendance and punctuality.
• Responsible for safety and security in the absence of RGM.
