Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a Manufacturing Department team member in Florida to perform daily on-the-floor tasks, cover absences, and assist with scheduling and production planning. The role emphasizes GMP adherence, quality, and safety across shifts.

The position requires forklift capability, strong communication, and leadership potential to drive improvements while maintaining high attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain forklift license and operate forklift.
• Must be able to follow department policies, procedures and GMPs.
• Willingness to travel for specialized training.
• Good computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily tasks in the work area as part of the team.
• Cover for unplanned absences and vacations.
• Assist managers with scheduling associates and production planning.
• Maintain GMPs and promote quality and food safety standards.
• Lead and drive improvements in plant operations and KPI analysis.
• Perform duties of Department Manager/Assistant in their absence.
