Job summary

Übergrippen Indoor Climbing Crag is hiring a full-time Team Leader for the Denver area, with 36-40 hours per week at 100% Denver location. The role centers on leading a team, guiding guest interactions, and delivering climbing instruction in a vibrant indoor facility.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, providing safety certifications, front desk duties, and mentoring staff, with weekend availability required. Compensation is hourly, aligned with experience.

• Supervise guest activities and provide incident/emergency response when needed.
• Provide facility orientations and certifications to new guests (belay and lead tests).
• Engage with customers to create a connected climbing community throughout shifts.
• Front desk work: guest check-in, memberships, day passes, and inquiries by phone, email or in person.
• Assist customers in the retail shop with gear recommendations, sizing and product questions.
• Teach climbing classes for adults and youth.
• Facility and equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Lead a team: train, direct, and mentor staff to perform these duties.

Join Übergrippen Indoor Climbing Crag as a full time hourly team member (36-40 hours per week). Übergrippen is an indoor rock climbing facility with locations in the Colorado Front Range (NE Denver and Castle Rock). Share your love of climbing by joining our team!This position will be 100% at Übergrippen Denver (located in the Central Park Neighborhood in NE Denver)

The Team Leader position is for people who are excited about rock climbing and have a strong desire and ability to lead a team! Currently, weekend availability is required.

Job Duties

• "The World Stops": Make positive customer engagement your #1goal daily

• Supervising guest activities and provide incident/emergency response if ever needed.

• Providing facility orientations and certifications to new guests (including belay and lead climbing tests)

• Continually engaging with customers throughout the shift to create an awesome and connected community

• Front desk work (guest check-in, membership and day pass sales, answering questions by phone, email, and face to face)

• Working with customers in our retail shop (providing gear recommendations, sizing support, and answering questions on products)

• Teaching climbing classes for both adults and youth

• Facility and equipment cleaning and maintenance

• Leading a team: training, directing, and mentoring staff to do all the above roles

Compensation

• Starting compensation $21-24/hr depending on experience, with clear outlines on how to earn more.We will happily share these outlines, as well as our profit sharing plan, during your interview!
