Job summary

Wieland Group in Delaware, OH is seeking a Team Leader - Assembly to supervise a production team in HVAC assembly on a full-time, on-site basis. The role involves leading daily safety and production briefings and ensuring adherence to procedures and schedules.

The position requires prior leadership in manufacturing, clear communication skills, and mechanical aptitude. Weekend night shift from Friday to Sunday, 6:00 am–6:00 pm, with a starting pay of 31.00 USD per hour plus a 1.50 USD per hour

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing/leading a group of production associates.
• 2 to 5 years of previous industrial manufacturing experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel and departments.
• Familiarity with the various departments and equipment within the scope of their responsibility.
• Ability to interpret, comprehend and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Must have demonstrated a mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills with familiarity of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensures team members adherence to specified standards of safety, quality, operating procedures, and compliance with company policies.
• Conduct daily Tier 1 meetings at the start of the shift to review pertinent safety information, and daily production objectives.
• Provide documented handover information to the appropriate personnel on the status of units to assure a seamless transfer, information shall include the status of units, where they are and at what stage in the process they are in.
• Maintains time and performance records for each team member.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Wieland is hiring a Team Leader - Assembly. The Team Leader - Assembly will be responsible for leading and coordinating activities of a team of production associates in the fabrication and/or assembly of HVAC equipment. Monitors and communicates with Value Stream team on status of units to assure customer commitments and timelines are met.

This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $31.00 per hour, PLUS $1.50/hr shift differential

Schedule: Weekend shift - Friday-Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm

• Training on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Team Leader - Assembly Responsibilities

Team Leader - Assembly Qualifications

• Previous experience managing/leading a group of production associates preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of previous industrial manufacturing experience preferred

• Must have demonstrated a mechanical aptitude. Mechanical aptitude exam may be used to determine the extent of mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills with familiarity of Microsoft office.
