Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. is seeking a Team Leader - Assembly to guide a production team in HVAC fabrication and assembly on-site in Delaware, OH.

You will monitor safety, quality and unit progression, conduct daily meetings, and ensure timely handovers while maintaining accurate time and performance records.

Starting pay is $31.00 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential; schedule is a weekend shift (Fri–Sun, 6:00am–6:00pm) with first-shift training for 2–4 weeks.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of industrial manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading production associates.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Familiarity with multiple departments and equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical information for non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality, and SOP compliance for the team.
• Lead daily Tier 1 safety and production meetings.
• Provide handover updates on unit status and stage.
• Maintain time and performance records for each member.

Wieland is hiring a Team Leader - Assembly. The Team Leader - Assembly will be responsible for leading and coordinating activities of a team of production associates in the fabrication and/or assembly of HVAC equipment. Monitors and communicates with Value Stream team on status of units to assure customer commitments and timelines are met.

This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $31.00 per hour, PLUS $1.50/hr shift differential

Schedule: Weekend shift - Friday-Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm

***Training on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Responsibilities

Team Leader - Assembly Responsibilities:

• Ensures team members adherence to specified standards of safety, quality, operating procedures, and compliance with company policies.
• Conduct daily Tier 1 meetings at the start of the shift to review pertinent safety information, and daily production objectives.
• Provide documented handover information to the appropriate personnel on the status of units to assure a seamless transfer, information shall include the status of units, where they are and at what stage in the process they are in.
• Maintains time and performance records for each team member.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Team Leader - Assembly Qualifications

• Previous experience managing/leading a group of production associates preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of previous industrial manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel and departments within the organization.
• Familiarity with the various departments and equipment within the scope of their responsibility preferred.
• Ability to interpret, comprehend and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Must have demonstrated a mechanical aptitude. Mechanical aptitude exam may be used to determine the extent of mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills with familiarity of Microsoft office.
