Job description

Under the administrative supervision of the Program Director, this at-will leadership position within a program is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of assigned staff and the assistance of the Program Director in the functioning of the program; may carry a small caseload of clients. Responsible for effectively coordinating and collaborating with funders and community partners. This is a management position responsible for all phases of the management process within the assigned program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)

  • Responsible for review and approval of all time and overtime worked in a timely manner daily and at the end of the pay period.
  • Responsible for review and approval of all time-off requests.
  • Responsible for staff performance management.
  • Coordinates member services within team.
  • Provides coordination of 24-hour member services.
  • Visits members periodically to provide direction and support.
  • Assists Program Director with all areas of program development as needed.
  • Provides prompt intervention in the event of a crisis both to stop the crisis and to notify, when indicated, persons and agencies necessary for the resolution of the crisis situation; provides "on-the-spot" counseling that is both helpful to the members and consistent with the philosophy of the program.
  • Ensures the safety, health, and wellbeing of members.
  • Completes paperwork as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Reviews and approves staff mileage sheets.
  • Responsible for overseeing and co-signing of documentation for interns, grad-students, and PSC's.
  • Ensures that all staff abide by meal period and rest period rules.
  • Facilitates groups and community activities; facilitates team staff meetings at least monthly and more often as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM:

A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from high school or an accredited GED program and working and four (4) years of varied experience as a provider of mental health services.

OPTIMUM:

Preferred qualifications involve graduation with a master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; four (4) years of varied experience as a provider of mental health services; one (1) year of supervisory/management experience; license eligible and current registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an AMFT, ACSW or APCC.

LICENSES; CERTIFICATES; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles.
  • Active registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an AMFT, ACSW or APCC.
Schedule: Monday-Friday. 8:30 AM -5:00 PM
Compensation: $28.00 to $30.91
