Job summary

Ziegenfelder Company, part of the Armstrong Group, is seeking a Team Leader for the 2pm–10pm shift in Lockhart, TX. You will supervise production teams, drive safety and quality, and support maintenance and training across the shift.

The role emphasizes adherence to GMP/SQF, teamwork, and operational excellence in a fast-paced food production environment. Experience in manufacturing leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role preferred, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production teams in absence of Supervisor.
• Lead and drive a team in a manner consistent with Ziegenfelder Values.
• Support Safety, Quality and the Operation Teams to produce and package quality Ziegenfelder treats.
• Ensure environmental and safety expectations are followed during the shift and communicate issues via Event Management.
• Verify production paperwork for raw material usage, metal detector calibrations, and product quality checks.
• Take corrective/preventative actions for safety, quality or defective product events.
• Function as an Operator when the Supervisor is present.
• Complete production dashboard in the absence of the Supervisor.
• Follow GMP and SQF procedures across shifts.
• Assist in training of new personnel and manage team performance.
• Ensure quality and food safety standards of products are met.
• Assist Maintenance to keep machines in proper operating condition.

Team Leader page is loaded## Team Leaderlocations: Ziegenfelder- Denvertime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-2707**Job Title: Team Leader (2pm-10pm)****Location: Lockhart, TX****Schedule: 40 hours per week with set days off****Benefits: Begin on the first day after 60 days of employment****A Ziegenfelder Team Leader is responsible for:*** Supervising production teams in absence of Supervisor to ensure safe and efficient operation of production lines, producing quality Ziegenfelder treats for delivery to customers.* Leading and driving a team in a manner consistent with Ziegenfelder Values.* Supporting Safety, Quality and the Operation Teams to produce and package quality Ziegenfelder treats.* Ensuring that environmental and safety expectations are followed during the shift and that exceptions, needs or opportunities are addressed and shared via our Event Management application.* Verifying production paperwork to confirm completion, and accuracy, of raw material usage logs, metal detector calibrations, and product quality checks.* Undertaking proper corrective/preventative actions when there is a safety, quality or defective product event.* Functions as an Operator on days Supervisor is present.* Completes production dashboard in the absence of the Supervisor.* Follows all GMP and SQF procedures and practices.* Assists in training of new personnel and managing team member performance.* Ensures quality and food safety standards of products are met.* Assists Maintenance to ensure machines are in proper operational condition and troubleshooting.**Qualifications and Education Requirements*** High school diploma or equivalent required.* 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role preferred, preferably in a manufacturing environment.* 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.* Ability to motivate and lead in a fast-paced environment.* Mechanical or operational background, in addition to the above qualifications, is a plus.**Physical Abilities*** Standing up to 8 hours per day.* Bending, twisting, reaching and grasping actions.* Good spatial awareness working around manufacturing equipment.* May need to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 30 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force constantly.* May need to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, reach, stand, push, and pull frequently during a shift.**Working Conditions*** Subject to cold temperatures of less than 32F for more than one hour with proper protection equipment.* May be subject to noise above 85 decibels with proper protection equipment### **Who We Are**The Ziegenfelder Company is part of the **Armstrong Group**, a family-owned organization founded in 1946.
