Job summary

Tractor Supply in Bardstown, KY is seeking a Store Team Leader to support store leadership, coach Team Members, and own assigned sales-floor presentation areas.

You will deliver Legendary Service, be among the top selling Team Members, lead shifts, and ensure execution of Power Panels, Clipstrips, Endcaps, clothing recovery, and seamless BOPIS/OMNI support. This role requires adaptability, reliable attendance, and strong teamwork to create a welcoming rural lifestyle shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts with varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Uphold a safe and productive work environment by following policies and procedures.
• Deliver Legendary Service and reinforce leadership behaviors through customer engagement and coaching.
• Use A+ Coaching to develop Team Members and reinforce operating standards.
• Own Power Panel execution, maintenance, replenishment, signing, and recovery.
• Own Clipstrip execution, maintenance, replenishment, signing, and recovery.
• Own Endcap execution, maintenance, signing, and recovery.
• Own weekly Clothing Department recovery with assigned standards and follow-up.
• Support BOPIS/OMNI execution, including picking, staging, handoff, and follow-up.
• Lead assigned Team Members during shifts, including task delegation and safety.
• Support front-end, sales-floor, recovery, and customer engagement routines as assigned.
• Operate cash register/computer, forklift, and other equipment; assist customers with loading purchases.
• Complete all documentation accurately and timely.
• Obtain licenses or certifications as needed.

The Team Leader is responsible for supporting Store leadership, delivering Legendary Service, coaching Team Members, and owning assigned sales-floor presentation areas. Team Leaders are expected to be top selling Team Members and have clear ownership of Power Panels, Clipstrips, Endcaps, Clothing recovery, and assigned BOPIS/OMNI support based on store needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

• Deliver Legendary Service and model selling behaviors as one of the top selling Team Members in the store.
• Own Power Panel execution, maintenance, replenishment, signing, and recovery.
• Own Clipstrip execution, maintenance, replenishment, signing, and recovery.
• Own Endcap execution, maintenance, signing, and recovery.
• Own full weekly Clothing Department recovery, including assigned standards and follow-up.
• Support BOPIS/OMNI execution, including picking, staging, Customer handoff, and follow-up as assigned.
• Lead assigned Team Members during shifts, including task delegation, follow-up, service expectations, and safe work practices.
• Support front-end, sales-floor, recovery, and Customer engagement routines as assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Manager.
• Support Store readiness by owning and maintaining Power Panels, Clipstrips, Endcaps, and Clothing.
• Operate cash register/computer, forklift, and other equipment as needed; assist customers with loading purchases.
• Complete all documentation associated with the above job duties accurately and timely.
• Obtain license or certifications as needed by the business.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, you must be able to read, write, and count accurately.

• Basic computer skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
• Ability to perform and execute principle responsibilities of Team Members.

Working Conditions

• Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise.
• Indoor floors and outdoor lots generally are hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.) lighting and temperature are adequate.
