Job summary

Valtir LLC in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Career Fitter/Welder for our Fort Worth plant. You will lay out, align and fit metal parts according to blueprints and sketches, ensuring accurate, safe assembly.

The role requires at least 1 year of welding experience, ability to read shop drawings, and use of measuring tools. Starting rate is $21.00 per hour, with a competitive benefits package included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of welding experience.
• Must read specifications, shop drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to use measuring tools and inspection gauges.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs and stand in a manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align and fit metal parts according to layouts and blueprints.
• Tack-weld and join parts using manual, semi-automatic or automatic welding equipment.
• Operate or assist in fabricating parts; read drawings and forms.
• Follow safety rules and maintain records; participate in safety initiatives.
• Perform flat fillet welds and assess tolerances; read blueprints; may use robotic welding.
• Fit and weld complex assemblies; operate fabrication machinery as needed; multi-pass welding may be involved.
