Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, and forklift tasks in a fast-paced setting. You will lead a team, coordinate resources, and ensure safety and efficiency on the floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year experience as Team Lead preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge/experience with RF scanners required.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Teamwork and independence in a warehouse setting.
• Bilingual (Québec locations only).

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement for operational efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and assign daily work to maintain shift logistics.
• Inspire team members to improve KPI performance using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools for employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices in the warehouse.
• Handle daily paperwork: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading.
• Submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $23.69 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when assigned to third shift
• Schedule: Third Shift (C) Sunday-Tuesday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, every other Wednesday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
