Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Test Technician Team Lead to test Small Unmanned Aria System and Loitering Munition Systems in our manufacturing facility, following engineering drawings and assembly instructions via the work order system.

The role serves as facilitator and lead, mentoring less experienced Technicians, performing mechanical assembly, testing and troubleshooting, and collaborating with Engineering to improve assembly documentation while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2–4 years in manufacturing/production in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly/test.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation.
• Experience with hand tools (crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power/tools).
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Problem-solving using 5 whys.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies with hand/power tools.
• Perform final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Test and troubleshoot subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Mentor junior Technicians and train others as needed.
• Ensure work order protocols are followed and paperwork is complete.
• Contribute to improving assembly documents with engineering.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment.
