Job summary

KNAPP is seeking a Team Lead Software Development in Kennesaw, GA to guide the software team, manage projects, and ensure adherence to KNAPP’s development processes. The role involves coordinating with LDs and other developers, planning resources, and overseeing milestones and costs.

The ideal candidate has solid leadership, strong communication skills in English, and a grasp of warehouse logistics and KNAPP products. Some travel is required, and the office is based in Kennesaw, GA.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software development teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and milestones.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of estimation methods for software development.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Understanding of warehouse logistics procedures and KNAPP products.

Responsibilities

• Monitor team milestones and costs for software development.
• Assess incoming projects for feasibility within time/resource constraints.
• Allocate LD to projects and consult with department head as needed.
• Coordinate with LD and developers to identify risks and delays.
• Inform superiors of unexpected difficulties or delays.
• Organize team assessments and coordinate with the LD.
• Serve as the main point of contact for external departments on projects.
• Ensure adherence to development processes across teams.
• Report on ongoing developments to department management.
• Schedule personnel and development in the resource plan and work calendar.
• Approve vacations and time off.
• Share knowledge with team members and other staff.
• Conduct regular reviews of LD's adherence to targets.
• Participate in job interviews and assess applicants.
• Travel 2-4 weeks per year to review progress and integrate findings.
