Job summary

Nelson Global Products Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Working Lead to support the production line. The role involves filling gaps on the line, assisting the Supervisor with staffing, and ensuring materials and tooling are ready to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent preferred.

Description

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Working Lead will assist the Supervisor with Production needs over the respective line. This position will work on the production line and fill in for gaps each day.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assist Supervisor with daily resource staffing and production needs
• Assist Supervisor with on-the-job training for new employees and documentation of training
• Fill in on the production line when there are resource gaps, due to absenteeism, breaks, meetings, etc.
• Be the technical expert for the line
• Ensure materials and tooling are brought to the line timely
• Promote safety and cleanliness in their area
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• One to two years of experience in a manufacturing setting

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Good understanding of manufacturing operations and related processes
• Ability to lead team members fairly and effectively
• Ability to train team members on current and new processes
• Good communication and conflict management skills
• Excellent understanding of Safety rules and protocols
• Ability to be self-motivated
