Top Source Talent, LLC is hiring a Manufacturing Operations & Product Line Lead to manage day-to-day production of technically complex equipment in Indianapolis. You will lead a hands-on team, coordinate across Engineering, Supply Chain, and Purchasing, and drive performance against schedules and budgets.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, strong project management, and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems; BA/BS degree preferred and OSHA/safety focus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations including flow, staffing, shipping and inventory.
• Set production schedules and milestones to meet delivery commitments.
• Develop and mentor direct and temporary staff.
• Coordinate builds across Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Planning and Quality.
• Monitor material availability and resolve shortages with supply chain.
• Track progress, identify obstacles and drive resolution with teams.
• Oversee in-process inspections and quality checkpoints.
• Implement SOPs and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure OSHA, safety, quality and company standards are followed.
• Translate mechanical drawings into effective manufacturing sequences.
• Support supplier coordination and buy/make decisions.

Manufacturing Operations & Product Line Lead

Indianapolis, IN | On-Site

Our airport solutions manufacturing client is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operations & Product Line Lead to lead day-to-day production while managing the successful build and delivery of technically complex equipment.

This is a highly visible floor lead role for someone who can manage people, production schedules, materials, quality, cost and delivery while also coordinating across Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Operations.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, including production flow, workforce planning, shipping, receiving and inventory coordination.
• Establish production schedules and build milestones to meet customer delivery commitments.
• Lead and develop direct and temporary production employees.
• Coordinate product builds across Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Planning and Quality.
• Monitor material availability and work with Procurement/Supply Chain to resolve shortages.
• Track build progress, identify obstacles and drive issues to resolution.
• Coordinate real-time technical troubleshooting with Engineering.
• Oversee in-process inspections and quality checkpoints.
• Improve production flow, throughput, labor efficiency and manufacturing cost.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure OSHA, safety, quality and company operating standards are consistently followed.
• Interpret mechanical drawings/schematics and help translate technical requirements into effective manufacturing sequences.
• Support supplier coordination and make/buy decisions as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of manufacturing/production experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading manufacturing teams and production operations.
• Strong project management experience within a manufactured-product environment.
• Experience working closely with Supply Chain, Procurement and Buyers.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; Business Central experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and technical requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, prioritization and communication skills.
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, AC systems or related equipment is highly desirable.
• Sheet metal manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Lean/continuous-improvement experience or certification is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience; engineering degree preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
