Job description

Job Title: Team Lead – Settlements

Global Department: Global Trade Execution - Settlements

Role Purpose Statement: The overall responsibility of the Settlement Team lead is to ensure accurate and timely input of commodity purchase and sales orders/contracts including amendments in the system (SAP), load order creation and application for Rail, Truck and Barge movements, create and apply tickets in SAP, Purchase and sales execution in SAP, freight adjustments, quality claim settlement, payment proposal creations as well as preparation of daily reports as per business requirement.

Main Accountabilities:

  1. Supervise input of purchase and sale orders/contracts and relevant amendments in the system (SAP).
  2. Monitor and entry of Load order creation and application in SAP.
  3. Monitor and execute purchase and sales orders.
  4. Create and apply tickets in SAP.
  5. Handle freight adjustments.
  6. Creation and updating of Billing String.
  7. Issuance of invoices, credits, and debit notes.
  8. Manage customer queries and complaints related to quality, transportation, and incorrect material.
  9. Claim settlement.
  10. Prepare daily reports like plant reports, missed pickup, detention, cancellation, and contract balance report as prepared and issued on time.
  11. Close coordination with internal and external interfaces on day-to-day activities.
  12. Effective communication on all day-to-day operation related activities with various stakeholders.
  13. Work in coherence to achieve self and team goals.
  14. Daily status updates and report issues to the manager for timely resolution.
  15. Should be flexible to work in US shift as per business requirement.

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field.
  • Desirable minimum 6-8 years of experience in International Agri-commodity execution/finance.
  • Advanced in both written and verbal English. Knowledge of any other foreign language(s) would be an advantage.
  • Computer proficiency (SAP, Analytical tools, MS Office).
