Job summary

Red Valve is seeking a Team Leader to assist the Supervisor and Quality Manager by guiding the finishing team to meet daily goals with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will manage workload, train new employees, analyze failure modes, conduct quality checks, and participate in continuous improvement. This role has no supervisory responsibilities and may shift duties based on business needs. High school diploma or GED is required, with manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Assist with quality checks and audits to ensure processes are followed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and report issues to supervisor/manager.
  • Area of responsibility may change based on business needs.

Job Overview

A Red Valve Team Leader will assist the Supervisor and Quality Manager by leading the finishing team to ensure that daily goals are met with the highest regard for safety and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean work cell through 5S and housekeeping.
  • Manage daily workload and set priorities for the finishing team.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the finishing department and provide support to the team as needed.
  • Train new employees within the finishing department.
  • Analyze failure modes and develop corrective actions.
  • Assist with quality checks.
  • Perform audits to ensure processes are being followed.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Report issues or problems to the immediate Supervisor or Manager.
  • This Team Lead will support areas as dictated by business needs; the assigned area of responsibility is subject to change based on business demands.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of two years of related manufacturing experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in manufacturing.
