Job summary

Trojan Battery in Lithonia, GA is seeking a Pasting Team Lead to coordinate work orders, enforce procedures, and maintain safety, quality and production standards. You will oversee area output, ensure equipment operates correctly and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Overview

Pasting Team Lead is responsible for distributing all department work orders and ensure proper procedures are followed by all employees in area including safety, quality and production.

Areas of Focus

Pasting Team Lead reviews function and output of area operations to ensure production levels are maintained, and equipment is repaired and operating correctly.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties required of advanced level employees in assigned area
• Conducts and coordinates the training of new employees
• Ensures safety supplies and personal protective equipment are used appropriately
• Completes required documentation for production, inventory, SPC, administration, etc
• Completes required computer system input, analysis and reports relative to the area
• Identifies unsatisfactory employee performance, verbally notifies employees of procedure violations or behavior problems and informs Supervisor of performance events
• May record employee performance events in department log
• Communicate various company policies and procedures to employees
• May give verbal input regarding employee performance during employee review process
• Ability to coordinate delivery and production schedules including changeovers
• Involved in continuous improvement projects
• Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Understand and practice the Quality Policy
• Comply with Blood Lead Health and Hygiene Protocols
• Understand and comply with correct lifting procedures which enable lifting to 50 lbs
• Comply with Hazard Communication procedures
• Must follow all Ergonomic recommendations and safety procedures

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
• Good communication and writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft software products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and any department specific computer programs
• Forklift Driver Certification
• Must have training certification for each area of responsibility
