Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Production Floor Crew Coordinator to lead a high-performing manufacturing crew on the shop floor. You will assign work, remove obstacles, coach teammates, and ensure every run meets quality and safety standards while hitting production targets.

You will monitor KPIs, coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse, supervise start-up and hand-off, and report performance and opportunities to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the crew's day-to-day work to achieve safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
• Assign tasks, check progress, and confirm completion by end of shift.
• Act as primary resource for questions and decisions on the floor.
• Deliver real-time training, mentoring, and feedback to grow skills and teamwork.
• Translate schedules into staffing and prioritize to meet output goals.
• Watch KPIs (cycle time, scrap, downtime) and take action to improve them.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules, PPE, and quality standards consistently.
• Identify hazards and ensure safe practices are followed.
• Verify quality checks and adherence to standard work at each step.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse to keep product moving.
• Report crew performance, issues, and opportunities clearly to leadership.
• Run shift start-up, hand-off, and communication routines.
• Support CI, problem-solving, and waste reduction efforts.
• Scan finished goods and complete all production documentation accurately.
• Maintain accurate records for attendance, training, metrics, quality, incidents, and corrective actions.

Must-haves

• Experience leading teams or as a senior operator in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Knowledge of production processes, safety practices, and quality requirements.

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or GED; extra technical or leadership training is a plus.
• Willing to work assigned shifts, including overtime when needed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and internet navigation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, stoop, twist, climb, and perform repetitive motions for 8-12 hours.
• Frequent forward bending at the waist; reach to low levels.
• Work near hot molds, presses, cranes; operate in tight spaces.
• Use hands/fingers to grasp and handle materials.
• Reach overhead and at/below the shoulder.
• Climb ramps and stairs as needed.
• Hear/understand speech and alarms with moderate ambient noise.
• Close vision at 20 inches or less; color differentiation.
• Be on the floor 60-80% of the time, with some desk/computer tasks.
