Job summary

FMH Conveyors seeks a Team Lead to manage the parts schedule and coordinate activities across the production area on a safe, timely basis.

The role supervises team members, oversees expedited and project-based orders, and aligns with the Manufacturing Operations team to meet budgets and schedules. Lean practices, safety, and cross-training are emphasized in daily work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; ERP/MRP experience with Epicor preferred.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Forklift certified and able to process orders as needed.
• Knowledge of lean concepts and tools.
• Ability to perform basic math and fractions/percent.
• Experience with inventory control and cycle counts.
• Ability to coordinate shipments and communicate shortages.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to the parts department team.
• Lead expedited orders and project-based parts orders.
• Ensure adherence to FMH Conveyors handbook and policies.
• Use ERP/MRP system to direct activities and schedule.
• Monitor quality, quantity, and efficiency of production.
• Coordinate with other departments for shipments and inventory.
• Cross-train team members and promote safety and lean practices.
• Maintain inventory integrity and report shortages.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Team Lead is responsible for maintaining the parts schedule in a safe and timely manner. The Team Lead is responsible for their assigned area and all personnel and equipment associated in this area. This person effectively guides the workforce, interpreting section policies and procedures and utilizes company computer software and approved drawings to directs the activities and personnel within their area of production responsibility.The Team Lead is a member of the Manufacturing Operations team and collaborates with the other functional teams (Sales Operations, Engineering, Finance, Materials & HR) on executing company strategies, meeting budgets and the work unit planned processes. They are expected to support, design, develop, and to implement processes and metrics in all areas of manufacturing including, but not limited to, lean, 5S, workplace safety, onboarding, and training.
