Job summary

FMH Conveyors, part of the Duravant family, seeks a Team Lead - Installation Crib to plan, coordinate, and oversee daily crib operations in a safe, efficient environment. You will ensure installation materials are received, stored, picked, kitted, and staged to support customer installations and project schedules.

You will lead the crib team, manage inventory accuracy, and work closely with Project Managers, Operations, Planning, and Logistics to ensure timely material delivery and compliance

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or associate degree required.
  • Experience in warehouse, inventory control, materials management, manufacturing, or distribution preferred.
  • Experience leading teams and coordinating installation crib operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily direction and leadership to Installation Crib team members.
  • Coordinate material staging, shipping, and receiving to meet project schedules.
  • Create and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for crib operations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and ERP transactions (Epicor).
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Procurement, Planning, Operations, and Logistics to ensure material availability.
  • Coach and develop team members on processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures.

We have several volunteer opportunities throughout the year.FMH Conveyors is seeking a Team Lead - Installation Crib responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the daily operation of the Installation Crib in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This position ensures installation materials, parts, components, and equipment are accurately received, stored, picked, kitted, and staged to support customer installations and project schedules. The Team Lead - Installation Crib is responsible for the assigned Installation Crib area, inventory, equipment, and processes associated with the operation. This individual provides daily leadership, directs workflow, maintains inventory accuracy, and works closely with Project Manager, Operations, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, and Installation teams to ensure materials are available and delivered when required.POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assignedProvides daily direction and leadership to Installation Crib team members.Understands and adheres to Company policies, procedures, and employee handbook requirements.Experience using inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems.Ensures installation materials, tools, equipment, and components are accurately picked, staged, packaged, and shipped to support installation schedules.Coordinate material staging and shipments for installation projects.Create and document standard operating procedures (SOPs).Collaborate with Project Managers, Procurement, and Installation teams.Maintain shipping and receiving documentation and coordinate returns.Develop and implement inventory control procedures for installation materials, tools, and equipment.Coordinates daily, weekly, and monthly workload priorities to meet customer and project delivery requirements.Maintains inventory accuracy through cycle counting, inventory audits, and proper ERP system transactions (Epicor).Ensures all materials are properly identified, labeled, stored, and handled according to company standards.Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, and other inventory-related issues.Collaborates with Purchasing, Planning, Operations, and Logistics teams to ensure material availability and resolve material shortages.Monitors quality, accuracy, productivity, and efficiency within the Installation Crib operation.Promotes a safe work environment and ensures team members follow all safety requirements and company policies.Supports lean manufacturing initiatives, continuous improvement projects, workplace organization, and 5S standards.Ensures materials are issued and replenished in compliance with established inventory management procedures.Coaches and develops team members on processes, equipment operation, inventory transactions, and safety procedures.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or Associates Degree3+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory control, materials management, manufacturing, or distribution environments.Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.Previous leadership experience preferred.Understanding of ERP/MRP systems and inventory transactions.Knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse best practices.Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation processes.Understanding of material handling and shipping procedures.Strong leadership and team development skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Experience with lean manufacturing concepts, continuous improvement tools, and 5S methodologies.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to read and interpret simple drawings, material lists, and work instructions.Forklift certification and valid driver's licensePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, and reach throughout up to a ten-hour shift.Frequently lift, move, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts.Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment and moving inventory.Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Manufacturing facility and warehouse environment.Exposure to powered industrial vehicles, moving machinery, and varying noise levels.Frequent interaction with operations, warehouse, shipping/receiving, project management and installation team members.
