Job summary

Pregis in Elgin, IL is seeking a Lead Packer to oversee Packers across multiple production lines, ensuring quality and on-time delivery according to SOPs. The role reports to the Production Supervisor in the Quality department and involves a 12-hour day/night schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, strong organization, and the ability to coordinate with QA and Operations. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent technical school preferred.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
• Lead or Supervisory experience preferred.
• Spanish bilingual a plus; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to direct a team and facilitate compliance with workplace policies and rules.
• Ability to read a ruler, scale, and micrometer; basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Packers for multiple production lines by monitoring performance and providing direction.
• Ensure SOPs are followed during the production process.
• Maintain correct packaging components for each varying job order.
• Maintain SAP inventory management system integrity and load flags.
• Train Packers on QA SOPs and conduct audits.
• Collaborate with QA Inspector and Quality Manager to resolve issues.
• Coordinate shift handoffs to minimize delays.
• Perform 6S and SOP audits as required.
