Job summary

Mondrian Alpha is seeking an exceptional Software Engineer (Lead) to head the Trading Systems team in New York, partnering with traders, PMs, and operations daily. The role spans the full trade lifecycle with a mix of greenfield development and ongoing system support.

You will own delivery from requirements to deployment, collaborate with a global development team, and work across OMS, EMS, market data, and P&L workflows. This is a high-visibility front-office role with meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience within financial services.
• Strong experience in C# and/or Python used in trading environments.
• Hands-on experience with trading systems (OMS/EMS, market data, P&L workflows) and front-office collaboration.

We are looking to speak to an exceptional Software Engineer (C#, Python), to partner with a leading global hedge fund that is continuing to invest heavily in its trading technology infrastructure. They are looking to hire a Lead Engineer to head their Trading Systems team based in New York.

The individual will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, and operations staff on a daily basis, acting as a trusted technical partner across all systems-related matters. The role spans the full trade lifecycle and involves a mix of greenfield development, platform enhancement, and ongoing system support depending on business priorities at any given time.

What You Will Be Doing

• Strong sense of ownership and the confidence to engage directly with senior stakeholders
