Python Developer - Global Hedge Fund - NYC - Up to $370k TC

We have been retained by a client looking to build out core areas of their trading systems. The role involves working closely with the business and senior stakeholders to design and deliver solutions and customised applications across the trading lifecycle.

The focus will be on end-to-end development using Python and some C#, covering middle office, PMS and core trading systems. As the client diversifies their portfolio by adding new PMs and strategies, they need the trading infrastructure to support the trading, settling and recording of new products.

Role:

• Architect, design and build infrastructure to support the Order Management System and surrounding trading system infrastructure.
• Work directly with the business and senior stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Improve and iterate on the firm's Execution Management Systems, enhancing their integration and supporting the execution of new products and strategies.
• Develop integrated trade workflows with affirmation platforms, and manage STP by exception through highly automated intraday reconciliations.

Requirements:

• Excellent Python skills, ideally with strong experience using Pandas and NumPy.
• Proven experience building end-to-end technical solutions into production, with solid unit testing and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the wider business and senior stakeholders.
• Some exposure to or experience with C# would be advantageous.
