Job summary

Maryland Department of Transportation's State Highway Administration is seeking a Team Leader – NEPA Compliance Section (Environmental Manager I) in Baltimore City. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural sciences or related fields.
• Experience in environmental analysis or management with team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEPA/MEPA compliance and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise environmental analysts, providing training and direction.
• Coordinate with ADC and manage consultant contracts and external teams.
• Oversee evaluation, documentation and reporting of environmental impacts for SHA projects.
• Ensure compliance with NEPA/MEPA and federal/state regulations to maintain eligibility for funding.
• Interpret maps, plans and specifications and communicate findings clearly.
