Job summary

Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (SHA) seeks an Assistant Division Chief to lead the Environmental Planning Division's Technical Analysis Section. You will supervise teams focused on highway noise, natural resources, and air quality, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements and managing the Noise Analysis Team’s workload.

Qualifications

• Nine years of experience in environmental analysis or management.
• Experience supervising employees, consultants or contractors.
• Two years of experience in noise/acoustical analysis for transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Noise Analysis Team workload and deliver highway noise studies and technical reports.
• Serve as the agency’s liaison to federal regulators (FHWA) on noise policy and regulatory interpretation.
• Direct planning, prioritization and execution of community noise impact studies and related research.
