Job summary

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration in Baltimore City seeks a Program Lead (Environmental Analyst IV) to oversee the Water Programs Division's NPDES/MS4 compliance efforts.

You will manage the Restoration Implementation program, coordinate with state and federal agencies, plan projects, and supervise multidisciplinary teams to deliver planning, permitting, design and construction of best management practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural sciences or related fields.
• Six years of experience in environmental analysis or management.
• Selective qualification: two years in water quality planning, design, permitting, or construction.
• Must possess a Maryland driver's license.
• Background checks required; bilingual applicants encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Restoration Implementation program, including planning, design, permitting, and construction of BMPs.
• Provide technical expertise and supervise multidisciplinary teams for MS4 permit compliance.
• Coordinate with state and federal agencies and supervise consultants.
• Analyze data and prepare reports to support environmental compliance and improvements.
