Job summary

Masterack is seeking an experienced setup technician to coordinate manufacturing setups and drive quality from the first part through production. You will plan tooling, instruct operators, and verify dimensions while maintaining strict safety practices.

The role requires hands-on expertise with metal fabrication equipment, CNC/CO2 laser programming, blueprint interpretation, and forklift operation, with a readiness for overtime to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication setup.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform first article inspections.
• Must be mechanically inclined with strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Reviews production schedule to plan tools, routers, and materials for setups.
• Provides training to setup operators on workstation setup.
• Monitors and verifies work of setup and machine operators.
• Sets up machinery per specifications according to production schedule.
• Runs first part and ensures proper dimensions; submits first article for ISIR approval.
• Completes documentation (Quality Verification Sheet, Router/Setup Records).
