Job summary

Paycor in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a production supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure safety, quality, and on-time output. You will manage start-up meetings, assign work, and coordinate with maintenance and logistics.

The role requires coaching teams, maintaining 5S, monitoring material usage, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety procedures and PPE requirements are followed.
• Conduct daily safety dock audits of shipping and receiving docks.
• Lead daily start-up meetings and communicate production priorities.
• Train and cross-train team members as needed.
• Assign daily work and hold team members accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.
• Ensure production lines have required materials and supplies throughout the shift.
• Review schedules and anticipate material needs to prevent shortages.
• Maintain accurate inventory and traceability documentation.
• Ensure storage, handling, labeling, and segregation of materials.
• Monitor material usage, shortages, scrap, and downtime.
• Maintain 5S, cleanliness, organization, and material presentation.
• Ensure compliance with QMS and customer specifications.
• Assist with problem solving and root-cause analysis.
• Escalate production, material, quality, and employee issues to the supervisor.
• Conduct shift handoffs and communicate outstanding issues.
• Support audits and inventory counts; contribute to continuous improvement.
• Follow Q, environmental and company policies.
• Maintain attendance and overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Maintain 5S, cleanliness, organization, and proper material presentation.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements and Customer Specifications.
• Assist with problem solving, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate production, material, quality, and employee issues to the supervisor and escalate when necessary.
• Conduct effective shift handoffs and communicate outstanding issues.
• Support audits, inventory counts, and continuous improvement activities.
• Follow all Quality, Environmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
