Job summary

Motus Integrated Technologies in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to manage daily shift operations, uphold safety and quality standards, and align with production priorities. The role involves coordinating start-up activities, guarding material flow, and communicating priorities across the team.

You will train and coach staff, enforce 5S and proper material handling, and drive continuous improvement through problem solving and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and inspections are followed.
• Lead daily start-up meetings and communicate production priorities.
• Train, coach, and cross-train team members as needed.
• Assign daily work and hold team members accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.
• Ensure production lines have the required materials, supplies, and containers throughout the shift.
• Review production schedules and anticipate material needs to prevent shortages and downtime.
• Maintain accurate inventory, material identification, traceability, and documentation.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, labeling, and segregation of materials.
• Monitor material usage, shortages, scrap, inventory discrepancies, and downtime.
• Maintain 5S, cleanliness, organization, and proper material presentation.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements and Customer Specifications.
• Assist with problem solving, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate production, material, quality, and employee issues to the supervisor and escalate when necessary.
• Conduct effective shift handoffs and communicate outstanding issues.
• Support audits, inventory counts, and continuous improvement activities.
• Follow all Quality, Environmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
