Job summary

Quest Global in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a Team Lead-Manufacturing to guide a 10–20 person engineering and manufacturing team at a customer site, owning customer satisfaction, project delivery, and key Quest metrics.

You will forecast workload, manage schedules, ensure on-time delivery, develop team capability, mentor staff, and maintain strong customer relationships while complying with aerospace quality standards. This hybrid role requires 60% onsite presence, located in Windsor Locks, CT.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, coaching, or supervising technical, engineering, or manufacturing personnel.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience managing projects, resources, schedules, deliverables, and customer expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of project financials, resource planning, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing and highly regulated industry environments.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and assembly.
  • Strong process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and global environment.
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours to meet business and customer deadlines.
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 10–20 engineering and manufacturing professionals supporting a customer site.
  • Own customer satisfaction, employee engagement, project delivery, and Quest Global business metrics for the assigned team.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and serve as a key point of contact for customer needs, concerns, and escalations.
  • Manage workload forecasting, resource assignments, project schedules, deliverables, and overall project health.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within quality requirements, and in alignment with customer expectations.
  • Monitor project risks, financial performance, staffing needs, and business objectives; escalates issues as needed.
  • Develop team capability through training plans, mentoring, coaching, performance management, and knowledge-gap closure.
  • Support interviewing, onboarding, employee development, succession planning, and business continuity.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and employee performance reviews while driving engagement and accountability.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for additional work, team growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Quest Global leadership and internal departments to improve processes, productivity, and delivery performance.
  • Support customer manufacturing and engineering activities and execute technical work as needed under assigned Statements of Work.
  • Ensure compliance with Quest Global policies, customer requirements, quality standards, and applicable aerospace regulations.
  • Support manufacturing engineering activities including process review and improvements.

What You Will Do

Pay Range

$65,000 - $80,000

Work Requirements

This role is considered a hybrid role located in Windsor Locks, CT with 60% of your time spent onsite.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working first shift hours (7:30am – 4:00pm).
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
