Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is recruiting for a Team Lead Site Services at our Global Central Laboratory in West Chester, OH. This fully onsite role supports the 2nd shift (Tue-Sat, 2:30-11:00 PM ET) and oversees daily operations, staff, and study setups. Relocation is not offered; US work authorization is required.

You will train staff, manage performance, and ensure quality across shipments, orders, and KPIs, while collaborating with multiple departments to meet study timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
• 0 to 5 years of previous experience, with leadership exposure.
• 1+ year of leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Direct and participate in all aspects of daily operations of the department.
• Manage the Associate Site Services Assistants and Logistics Coordinators, ensuring performance is maintained.
• Maintain and oversee Manufacture List, Supply Orders, Courier Contact Sheets, Backorders, and Special Account Set Up.
• Provide training to new staff and when new processes are implemented, and evaluate performance.
• Serve as escalation point for supplies/logistical issues to ensure internal/external customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate and resolve issues during the study setup with Site Services staff.
• Obtain and maintain KPIs with kit vendors.
• Assist management with training, quality compliance, SOP reviews and updates.
• Act as backup to the Supervisor and/or Senior Manager.

Job Description

This is a fully onsite role based at our Global Central Laboratory in West Chester, OH . We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position, and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.

• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.

2nd Shift: Tuesday-Saturday from 2:30-11:00PM ET Shift differentials provided

The Team Lead Site Services ensures efficient and effective operations of the department and is responsible for quality within the section. Participates in the daily operations of the departments supported or where needed and follows up on complaints/issues until resolution. Provides training for new personnel or when new processes are implemented. Follows up on training documentation of the team. Attends study protocol meetings and educates staff on issues requiring attention. Creates work schedule and holiday planning for the team.

What You'll Do:

• Direct and participate in all aspects of daily operations of the department.
• Manage the Associate Site Services Assistants and Logistics Coordinators, ensuring performance is maintained.
• Maintain and oversee Manufacture List, Supply Orders, Courier Contact Sheets, Backorders, and Special Account Set Up.
• Provide training to new staff members and when new processes are implemented. Evaluate performance and identify and correct performance problems.
• Serve as a point of escalation for calls related to supplies and logistical issues and escape to management or the appropriate department to ensure satisfaction of internal and external customers.
• Coordinate and resolve issues or concerns during the study set-up process with the Site Services Logistics Coordinators and Associate Site Services Assistants.
• Obtain and maintain the Key Performance Indicators with the kit vendors.
• Assist management with training, quality compliance, SOP reviews, and updates.
• Act as a backup to the Supervisor and/or Senior Manager.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 5 years).
• 1+ year of leadership responsibility

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
