Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support pharmaceutical production operations on a 12-hour night shift. The role requires safely handling materials, operating computer-controlled equipment, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain.
• Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers/forklifts) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares manufacturing areas and equipment to produce pharmaceutical products.
• Safely operates various types of computer-controlled equipment used in dispensing, granulation, compression, or coating.
• Disassembles, cleans, and re-assembles equipment using basic handtools.
• Assists with troubleshooting of equipment and process issues.
• Maintains accurate, neat, error free records such as batch records and logbooks.
• Accurately follows production documents, SOPs, and current cGMPs.
• Monitors operations for deviations, quality risk, or mechanical problems and elevates issues as needed.
• Identifies safety, quality, and efficiency improvements and participates in learning organization development.
• Maintains a neat work area and follows department safety rules.
• Performs duties in other work areas as required.

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Rapid flashing lights, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Warehouse, Will work with hazardous/toxic materials

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

Required: Minimum of 1+ years of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field

Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers/forklifts)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Experience in pharmaceutical production preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to disassemble and reassemble various types of equipment
• Basic reading comprehension andmath skillsnecessary to follow complex technical instructions and complete BPR calculations
• Effective communication skills and ability to work both individually and as part of a team
• Prior computer operation and experience in APACS, is desirable

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Ability to manipulate/handle drums weighing up to 110 kg and lift containers weighing up to 40 kg
• Ability to hand-scoop 5 lbs. intermittently throughout the workday
• Job requires wearing personal protective equipment to include white zone gowning requirements and various styles of respirators (1/2 face, 3-M hood, full face, and dust mask)
