Job summary

Gemini, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Team Lead I or II at our Decorah, IA location with a starting pay of $23.02 per hour. You will lead a production team to meet daily goals, while maintaining safety and quality.

The role includes coaching, scheduling, and occasional back-up in technical areas, reporting to the Plant Supervisor. We offer health premiums, a retirement match, generous PTO, and other benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to meet daily production requirements with emphasis on quality, delivery, cost, and safety.
• Provide leadership, oversight, and training to team members.
• Observe and evaluate work to ensure performance meets company standards.
• Coach employees on strengths and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling for the department, including overtime planning and vacations.
• Fill in or back up in technical areas requiring additional knowledge.
• Report to Plant Supervisor and follow PPE and safety protocols.

Gemini is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Team Lead I or II at our Decorah, IA location. Starting pay for this role is $23.02.

A day in the life of a Team Lead at Gemini Inc. involves:

• Leading a team to ensure daily production requirements are attained with a focus on quality, delivery, cost, and safety. Completes a variety of tasks including record keeping and reporting.
• Provides leadership, oversight, and training to team members to effectively utilize and build on talent, experience, and growth.
• Observes and evaluates work performed by employees to ensure that individual and teamwork performance is acceptable by standards set by the company.
• Coaches employees on strengths and areas for improvements. Assists employees with development areas.
• Coordinates staffing and scheduling for assigned department(s). Assists in determining need for overtime. Schedules vacations for employees.
• Has the qualifications and skills to fill in or back up in technical areas of responsibility requiring additional technical knowledge, physical demands, and/or safety sensitive positions.
• Due to the nature of a metal foundry, working conditions require the use of proper PPE to protect hearing and vision as well as the ability to physically load and unload materials.
• Reports to Plant Supervisor
