Job Description

Position Summary
Safely and effectively lead and provide direction to a crew or team on a single job site to maximize profit margins and quality craftwork.

Responsibilities

1. Lead on various size projects
2. Reports, coordinates and supervises all aspects of a project
3. Manage the job site situations, maintain a safe working environment and be accountable for quality and productivity.
4. Review plans and permits
5. Establish daily crew goals
6. Communicate with customer
7. Assign job duties
8. Monitor progress
9. Evaluate Teammates' performance and provide coaching
10. Perform Laborer and Equipment Operator requirements and responsibilities as needed
11. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

Requirements

1. Valid driver’s license
2. 2+ years related experience in utility construction
3. Able to perform safe work practices daily
4. Ability to communicate with Teammates and Customers
5. Class A CDL is desired
6. Must have experience running a crew
7. Able to perform physically demanding tasks
8. Strong mechanical skills
9. Equipment operating experience
10. Able to work some nights and weekends
11. Ability to work outdoors
12. Ability to read and write English
13. Pass a drug screen and background check
14. Able to stand, kneel and work in confined spaces for an extended period of time

Working Conditions

This job operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting. Also, this role works in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
