What you’ll do
  1. Coordinate all functions of order consolidation and completion of shipments with corresponding paperwork to ensure that shipments make their requested delivery dates.
  2. Locate loads into stage locations. Merge and reidentify loads to maximize the cube of shipments.
  3. Perform evaluation and verification of shipments as needed. Maintain shipments to correct carriers as needed. Complete audit sheets for shipments.
  4. Maintain and order shipping supplies as needed.
  5. Lead pack activities to ensure efficiency and best utilization of labor.
  6. Initiate training of new pickers with customer orders.
  7. Assign pickers to shipments for truckloads and wrap and load shipments on designated equipment.
  8. Maintain high level of accuracy and efficiency while performing all tasks.
  9. Assign and delegate work as needed. Check updates for same-day shipments and work Q for priorities.
  10. Keep area neat and clean while sustaining 5S activities to uphold department goals.
  11. Perform other assignments as assigned.
What makes you a good fit
  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Able to work 1st shift 7:00 am-3:00 pm.
  3. Related shipping experience with supervisory skills preferred.
  4. Strong computer skills are required, and experience with a Warehouse Management System is preferred.
  5. Ability/desire to collect and analyze data in support of project-related activities.
  6. Excellent communication skills are a must.

The salary for this role is $20.00 - $22.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
