Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Team Lead to support a manufacturing line, ensuring safe, standardized operations while developing people. You will oversee a small team of operators, ensure standard work adherence, and drive improvements.

You will train and certify staff, maintain Training Matrix, run equipment, and handle escalations with Tier 2. Overtime may be required; shifts run Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
• Read and write English.
• Demonstrate Winning Behaviors; clear and calm communication.

Team Lead

Let’s build tomorrow together. As a Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by supporting a team of operators by maintaining safe, standardized, and stable operations while developing people capabilities.

Shifts

(All shifts operate Monday-Thursday with required Overtime on Friday and Saturday as needed)

• Shift 1 (4:00AM – 2:30 PM)
• Shift 2 (2:30PM – 1:00 AM)

What You Will Do

• Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment
• Train and certify employees
• Maintain Training Matrix of Cell(s)
• Ensure adherence to standard work (JOB’s)
• Maintain Tier 1 & HR x HR board
• Respond to abnormalities – Problem Solve - Escalate
• Lead 5 Why Problem Solving
• Lead team huddle (SQDC)
• Review previous shift misses
• Coach correct methods
• Handover to next shift TL
• Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within the team to Tier 2
• Run assembly equipment on the line

Job Requirements

Hiring Hourly Range

$24.00 - $26.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
