Job summary

RealTruck is seeking a Team Lead for our distribution department in Georgia. You will oversee a team on the Amazon Department on the first shift (Tue-Fri, 5:00 am–3:30 pm), guiding operations to meet throughput and quality standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, inventory coordination, and cross‑functional collaboration with purchasing, customer service, and shipping. You’ll mentor staff, address issues, and drive continuous improvement in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; combined with experience acceptable.
  • Minimum 2 years in a distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities.
  • 3–5 years in distribution with leadership responsibilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of kitting in a distribution center preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule staffing and improve throughput in partnership with leadership.
  • Cross-train team and develop multi-skill employees.
  • Implement updated work instructions for accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels with purchasing, customer service and shipping.
  • Communicate maintenance needs and replace consumables as needed.
  • Mentor team and serve as first point of contact for issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of distribution employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of quality. This role will require a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to drive team success. This position leads our Amazon Department on first shift, Tuesday thru Friday, 5 am to 3:30 pm.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Partner with the Leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; develop employee knowledge in multiple skill sets.
  • Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, customer service, and shipping to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts.
  • Effectively communicate maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as needed.
  • Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees, functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounter.
  • Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required.
  • 3-5 years in years in a distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience in kitting functions within a distribution center preferred.

Required Licenses

  • Ability to become certified on powered industrial equipment.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead: working team member who coordinates, supports, trains, and is a knowledge resource for other team members. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Activities

This position is subject to the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working Conditions

The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a warehouse-based environment.
