Job description

Position Summary

The Supervisor of Production for Roll Form will oversee the daily manufacturing operations by efficiently planning, coordinating, and organizing the manufacturing assembly process for all assigned products with an emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Lean principles. This position will be responsible for driving and promoting "First Time Quality" and "On Time Delivery" culture to meet customer requirements.

Core Functions
  • Production Operations Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities across Roll Form production lines/department to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Plan, assign, and provide clear direction to staff to achieve daily/weekly/monthly productivity targets. Monitor schedules and adjust labor, materials, and equipment to address changing priorities.
  • Evaluate causes of manufacturing problems and assist in resolving such problems.
  • Manage production documentation and operational records, coordinate inventory tracking and resource planning, support staffing and budgeting activities, and provide operational updates to plant management.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Enforce workplace safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe operating practices while investigating incidents and maintaining environmental and regulatory compliance.
  • Quality Control:
  • Promote consistent product quality and compliance with customer specifications by coordinating with Quality teams on corrective actions and defect prevention.
  • Drive a culture of First Time Quality and On-Time Delivery by ensuring adherence to standard work, work instructions, and quality procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement and Reporting:
  • Collaborate with management and leadership teams to standardize processes and drive Lean initiatives, including workflow design, 5S implementation, and work instruction development.
  • Leads process improvements and standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate production status, risks, priorities, and performance metrics effectively to leadership.
  • Team Supervision and Leadership:
  • Guide, motivate, and discipline staff in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate, through inspirational leadership, clear expectations by ensuring associates understand safety requirements, quality standards, company updates, operational priorities and production goals.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, associate engagement, and development.
  • Manage associate attendance, performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster teamwork, engagement, and a positive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Bachelors required or additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5 + years of manufacturing experience required and 1+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Strong production management and supervisory experience in diverse manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills, Abilities, And Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge in various PC applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and MRP/ERP.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing practices encompassing electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Familiar with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and electromechanical product specifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical parts/assemblies, mechanisms, wiring, connectors, etc.
  • Strong background in assembly processes and manufacturing flow.
  • Ability to analytically make decisions and follow through on implementation.
  • Ability to motivate and provide team building skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot solve problems independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.
  • Clear understanding of 5S and Lean concepts and practices.
Travel
  • Travel is not required.
