Job summary

RealTruck, Inc. is seeking an Operational Team Lead to guide a production team, ensure quality standards, and drive efficient operations at our Mesquite site.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and hands-on problem solving, with a shift pattern Monday through Thursday 6am–4:30pm and potential Friday or weekend work. A strong background in manufacturing and team mentoring is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with related manufacturing leadership experience.
  • 2+ years in manufacturing/distribution with some leadership responsibilities.
  • 3-5 years in manufacturing/distribution with leadership responsibilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Leadership on scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions and throughput.
  • Collaborate with leads and supervisors to enable cross-training across skills.
  • Implement up-to-date work instructions to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, production scheduler and shipping to maintain inventory levels.
  • Communicate maintenance issues and replace consumables as needed.
  • Mentor team members and address issues as first line of support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned during on-the-job training.

The Operational Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of production employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of quality. This role will require a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to drive team success.

Shift- Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm - Possibly Friday and some Weekends

Core Functions
  • Partner with the Leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with other leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; develop employee knowledge in multiple skill sets.
  • Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production scheduler, and shipping to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts.
  • Effectively communicate maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as needed.
  • Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees, functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounter.
  • Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required.

Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Lead: working team member who coordinates, supports, trains, and is a knowledge resource for other team members. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility.
Physical Requirements
  • This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
