Role Overview

As we develop a comprehensive enterprise data and digital strategy, we seek a Team Lead - Algorithms to manage a portfolio of Data Science and AI capabilities, projects, and products that generate significant business benefits, strengthen our competitive edge, and foster innovation.

Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and deliver scalable AI solutions to support functions like underwriting, pricing, claims, distribution, and operations.
2. Lead the development of innovative proof-of-concept solutions, emphasizing GenAI technologies.
3. Develop and mentor a team of data scientists and ML developers, overseeing the entire AI development lifecycle.
4. Align cutting-edge AI technologies with business objectives across AXA XL's lines, creating scalable, reusable capabilities.
5. Collaborate with AI Platforms, Pricing & Underwriting, Transformation & Change teams to deploy scalable solutions.
6. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in Data Science and AI practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience across the full AI development lifecycle, including model deployment and monitoring.
• Experience leveraging GenAI to expand AI product portfolios.
• Strong understanding of AI best practices, ethics, and reproducibility.
• Knowledge of ML Ops, LLMOps, microservices, containerization, and cloud engineering.
• Strategic thinking and ability to connect technical and business aspects.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience in Data Science, AI, or related roles.
• Moderate leadership experience in managing teams or programs.
• Passion for digital, data, and AI within a data-driven organization.
