Job summary

Marquardt Group is seeking a Team Lead- Advanced Purchasing Buyer to join our Rochester Hills, MI purchasing team. You will oversee supplier development, drive cost reductions, and ensure a secure supply chain for complex electromechanical projects.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing electronics purchasing, strong negotiation skills, SAP experience, and the ability to collaborate with quality and engineering teams to meet program timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain or related field preferred.
• 5+ years related experience in a manufacturing and electronic component purchasing environment desirable.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage supplier base and supply chain for assigned projects including escalation of quality & logistics issues.
• Lead/support negotiations with suppliers to achieve best price, quality and schedule.
• Support purchasing activities for cross-functional product development programs.
• Ensure compliance with organization-wide purchasing policies.
• Collaborate with Quality to develop and maintain supplier performance.
