Job summary

Marquardt U.S. is seeking a Team Lead- Advanced Purchasing Buyer in Rochester Hills, MI. This role focuses on securing supply, reducing costs, and developing suppliers for mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical components.

You will lead supplier development, negotiate with vendors, and support cross-functional product development while ensuring policy compliance and maintaining supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain or related field.
• 5+ years related experience in a manufacturing and electronic component purchasing environment desirable.
• Experience with supplier development and sourcing in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage supplier base for mechanical/electromechanical/electronics across assigned projects.
• Lead/assist negotiations with suppliers to achieve best price, quality and schedule.
• Support purchasing activities for cross-functional product development programs.
• Ensure compliance with organizational purchasing policies and maintain supplier performance.
• Coordinate qualification of new suppliers and research sources to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Maintain records of purchases, prices and deliveries; act as technical resource on market changes.
