Job Description:

Team Lead, Account Development

The Team Lead, Account Development (TLAD) maintains the high-performance of the Account Development team and plays an elemental role in achieving Veristat’s growth and RFP targets. As a working leader, the TLAD will oversee and motivate an Account Development group while also having a personal outreach target, generating qualified meetings, driving new business opportunities to RFP, ensuring team alignment and satisfaction, and guaranteeing KPI achievement. Making calls and providing hands-on team in a defined cadence with other outreach activities will be critical to the TLAD’s success in this role.

Core responsibilities include ensuring targeted, quality call and outreach occurs, process is followed, key activities are completed, as well as, call-center associate oversight, coaching, priority setting, and training, and conducting personalized outreach via phone and electronic media to specific target accounts. As well as researching accounts, prospects, and products to craft customized content that communicates the value of Veristat solutions and brand.

This role works in collaboration with External AD Resources, Business Development, Contracts and Proposals, Legal, Marketing, Operational subject matter experts, and Account Development.

What we offer:

  • The estimated hiring range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000 plus applicable bonus. This hiring range is specific to the US and will vary for other regions based upon local market data. Final salary is ultimately decided upon taking into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to: skills and experience, licensure and certifications, education, specific location and dynamic market data.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of inside sales, tele sales, call center or direct sales experience required, at least 2-3 years of relevant clinical research organization (CRO) or life sciences experience required, and at least 1 year team lead, or management experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) required; must be comfortable interfacing with various levels of business contacts, including executives, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Exceptional prioritization skill, meeting timelines with an ability to see the big picture both for your team and yourself.
  • Experienced and comfortable making cold calls and training others, to prospective companies and possess proper phone etiquette.
  • Significant experience with database management in a CRM preferred, Salesforce preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel (including, pivots, formulas, v-lookups, graphs), Outlook, LinkedIn, Web-browser, and search engine navigation.Microsoft Teams and SharePoint a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach peers and other staff, and to influence without authority.
  • Must be a detail-oriented, analytical, and strategic thinker.
  • Ability to work independently as well as lead a team.
  • Highly skilled at problem solving and maximizing use of resources.
