Job summary

Dane Manufacturing Company is seeking a Team Lead – Paint Line to provide hands-on leadership on the shop floor. You will direct and coach the shift, assign work, and keep the paint line flowing efficiently while maintaining safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in metal fabrication or manufacturing, with leadership experience and the ability to read blueprints and work orders. Join an award-winning team focused on teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing.
• Formal or informal leadership experience.
• Able to read blueprints, work orders, and production documentation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Understand PPE requirements and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the shift team, providing direction and feedback.
• Assign work based on production priorities and skills.
• Monitor output, address bottlenecks, and keep schedule on track.
• Enforce safety practices and PPE compliance.
• Ensure parts meet blueprint specs and quality standards.
• Coordinate paint line tasks (hanging, unloading, washing, painting, curing).
• Onboard new employees and cross-train team members.
• Maintain strong communication between team and supervision.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and reduce waste.
• Troubleshoot issues with materials, equipment, staffing, tooling, and paint-line processes.
